Zach Mulholland for Lane County Commission
Leading the Fight for Good Jobs, Affordable Housing, and Clean Air & Water
Background
An effective Lane County Commission is critical for Eugene as we work to develop 21st century infrastructure and usher in a new age of economic development for Eugene and Lane County. I will fight for good jobs, affordable housing, clean air and water, and a compassionate and effective response to homelessness.

I currently serve on the Lane Community College Board of Education and the City of Eugene's Budget Committee. I have previously served on the Board of the Many Rivers Chapter of the Sierra Club, the Eugene Sustainability Commission, and the Active Bethel Community Neighborhood Association.

I currently work on clean air and climate policy in the City of Eugene on contract with Beyond Toxics, an Environmental Justice Non-Profit, working to ensure no more toxic polluters like J.H. Baxter locate in Eugene. I have previously worked lobbying for climate legislation at the Oregon Legislature and owned a small Café.

I look forward to using my skills to ensure all Lane County residents are treated with dignity and that no one goes to sleep at night without a roof over their head and food in their stomachs.
Priorities
Good Jobs
I will invest in the infrastructure needed to attract the jobs of the 21st century like fiber internet and a new hospital. A thriving community needs access to good paying jobs and a strong workforce with access to high quality education.
Affordable Housing & Homelessness
I will team with local, State, and Federal partners to extend City Services like sewers to new residential areas, extend renter protections countywide, and help first time home buyers with down-payment assistance. I will fight to expand programs that reduce homelessness, including permanent supportive housing with wrap-around services, rapid rehousing, and homelessness prevention.
Clean Air & Water
I will pass rules to protect families from polluters like J.H. Baxter, partner with EWEB to protect Lane County's drinking water, and provide rebates for energy efficient appliances. No one's health should be threatened by industrial polluters and everyone deserves clean water.
